Bottas Feel "A Little Worried" About Lack of Speed

Valtteri Bottas admit that he "worried" about the lack of speed in the last two laps when he was defeated by his younger teammate Zhou Guanyu.

After completing P8 at the opening of the Bahrain Grand Prix season, Valtteri Bottas struggled for fitness in Saudi Arabia and Australia.

The Finnish racer lost the time test and competed in both races with his teammate Zhou.

In Saudi Arabia, Bottas was behind because of the lack of race speed when he started from Pit Lane in Australia after Alfa Romeo made some changes to his car to try to solve some of the problems.

Bottas finished the race at Albert Park in 11th position in front of Carlos Sainz, who received a five-second penalty.

"It's hard to get the whole picture where we will go," Bottas said after Australia. "This is a little better, but most of the problems are still not resolved.

"I'm a little worried. Not at the speed it should be. The atmosphere is very different from Bahrain.

Former F1 engineer Ossi Oikarinen said it was natural for Bottas to worry about his appearance. "This is unacceptable," Oikarinen said. "As Valtteri said itself, there are concerns today.

"If you want to change the car settings and test something new long before the race and still unsuccessful, then something must be evaluated.

- It is important to sit with the team and think about what needs to be done. Both Valtteri and the team cannot accept such competitions. You need to press the Reset button. "
